I started this blog to be a way for me to document my first pregnancy.
My story is anything but boring. I am a born and raised New Yorker and after A LOT of soul searching, I decided at 22 to drop everything I knew and move across country to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in fashion design. A couple of months after moving to LA, fate stepped in. I met the love of my life in August 2009, he was currently a US Marine and just got back from a tour in Iraq. Who would have thought after moving 3,000 miles away I would end up meeting a fellow New Yorker and fall in love. Our love story was not perfect, and we had a very bumpy road ahead of us over those next couple of months. By the end of March 2010, we both agreed that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. In September 2010, two weeks before he was leaving for a 7 month tour in Afghanistan, we did probably the craziest thing I've ever done, we eloped! We loved each other and didn't want to wait. Once my husband returned, we planned a wedding to celebrate with our family and close friends in September 2012, the weekend of our 2 year anniversary. It seems like our lives have been non-stop since we met each other and the craziness just continues. This past March I found out I was pregnant with our first child together. This has been the scariest, happiest, and most incredible part of my life and I can't wait to tell the rest of our story once we become three...
