Hello (Football) September

September only means two things: FOOTBALL and fall time.

I'm actually VERY excited that the NFL season is FINALLY here! Today was the Sunday opening of the season and I think this was the first time I actually sat and watched all the games all day (I have a fantasy team, so I need to pay more attention) Of course the SF 49ers won! Hell yeahhhhh!!!!

I think I am more excited than my husband is to have our little guy dressed head to toe in 49er gear on Sundays. He will be born towards the end of the season and playoffs, so of course the most exciting time of the football season.

I like to get totally into holidays and the opening games are definitely considered a holiday in my book. I even got our food in the spirit of the season. I of course had to make my husband all his favorite "football foods" even though I should be staying far away from them.

I count this as the official first weekend of September and I can not wait for the Indian Summer to go away and for "fall" weather to come to So Cal. xo

25 Weeks

How far along? 25 weeks and 4 days
Gender: boy
Maternity clothes:  haven't purchased anymore recently, but I can tell I will need to soon
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: I cannot get a full night of rest, I've been waking up to baby boy kicking a couple of times
Best moment of the week: I was talking to a good friend back home about what I want his name to be, and he started kicking like crazy when I would say the name (...it's a sign) and when we put together his crib
Miss Anything? doctor said I need to watch what I eat so I don't gain too much weight, so I'm staying away from sweets :(
Movement: I can actually feel him more now when he's just moving around and not just kicking me in the gut repeatedly
Food Cravings: Mexican
Symptoms: Back aches, hip aches, feet aches...
Belly button in or out? still in
Wedding rings on or off? still on :)
Happy or Moody most of the time: recently I've been moody (I was called the exorcist twice at work this past week)
Looking forward to: my baby shower next month :)

Then and Now: 24 Weeks

I cannot believe how much I have changed and how much baby boy has grown. The time literally seems to be flying by. Since it's been soooo hot this past week I really haven't been able to find anything to wear that I was comfortable in. I pulled out my sundress and thought to myself if it would still fit in. It did, just a little tighter than it used to fit. I got excited and wanted to take a picture to compare how much the bump has grown since I wore this dress in my 13 week photo. My husband and I were just amazed at how big my bump is! AH! I love being pregnant and this whole process. The only difference in these photos is that I look A LOT more exhausted now then I did at week thirteen.

Weekend in Photos

I hope everyone enjoyed their "last weekend" of summer. The past week in So Cal has been killer (this heat and pregnancy do not mix). Our weekend of course was filled with relaxing, food, and trying to attempt to sit by the pool (barely lasted that long because of the heat). Thank god for a three day weekend, it was much needed. I am over this heat already. I am VERY excited for Fall, being that it is my favorite season, and includes a lot of my favorite things (FOOTBALL! and holidays).

A morning stroll through town, missing Starbucks

Couldn't decide on nail color, so I did all three ;)

Baked some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. yum.
On our drive to BabiesRus, the sky was just gorgeous
Tank didn't find it as funny as I did when I tried some of the baby's clothes on him :) hahaha
Attempting to cool down in the pool. Bathing suit from Target (top.bottom)
Fresh watermelon after being in the hot sun was AMAZING

I can't wait for this weather to start cooling down and being able to start posting about all things FALL! Hope everyone has a great week! xo

Nursery Planning Continued

Now that it is getting closer to little man's arrival, we are starting to figure out how to make him fit into our bedroom. We started getting the main items of furniture already and just waiting to put it all together once we rearrange our furniture. After a couple of different options thrown around, we found the best way to fit all the furniture together that will make us feel like we still have room to move around.

I have been thinking of themes for the baby like the ones I started talking about in my first nursery post, and I am trying to narrow down ideas and make everything in our room coordinate.
I just can't seem to make up my mind! I think I've been looking too much on Pinterest since I keep finding cute room ideas every time I go on. I'm going to try my hardest to wait until the furniture is put together and the room is set up before I start getting all this decor. I also wanted to try to wait until after my baby shower, so that I don't over buy stuff.

I have realized that I cannot stay away from the chevron theme. So it looks like that is going to be the main focus for bedding and curtains in our room. I'm going to keep our bedding for our bed neutral so that I can have more fun with all the decor for the baby. I think I also like having owls involved somehow. I found art posters that I will print on card stock and frame for the walls. I also really wanted to hang pom-poms on the ceiling, but I'm not sure if I will do it yet. We don't have that much room to go too crazy in decorating, so I'm going to have to do a little at a time.

I am just SO excited to start getting our apartment ready for our little man (and I can't wait til I can hold him).

24 Weeks

How far along: 24 weeks
Gender: Boy
Maternity clothes: H&M maternity jeans and a I have been buying a size larger for shirts
Stretch marks: no
Sleep: the past two weeks I haven't been having the best sleep, not comfortable and the past couple of days the heat has been getting to me
Best moment this week: when little man kicked hard enough for Tank to feel him while he was laying on my lap and he looked at me with the most confused face
Miss Anything? COFFEE and I was craving watermelon vodka :(
Movement: He is very active and I swear while we were watching the Justin Timberlake's VMA performance last week, he was dancing around inside the entire time (and so was I)
Food cravings: frozen yogurt and pizza
Symptoms: feet and hands are starting to get swollen everyday (I think it has a lot to do with the heat wave) and lower back pain
Belly Button in or out? still in but I can tell it's starting to push outwards
Wedding rings on or off? the past two days off since the heat is making me swollen
Happy or Moody most of the time: I can get moody if I don't get to bed on time
Looking forward to: my next doctor's appt and hopefully getting better sleep this week

I decided to switch it up and I found this on another blog I follow and thought it would be fun to start doing this in my weekly updates.

This past week has been very crazy at work and I am so so happy that I have a 3 day weekend to be able to relax and try to catch up on sleep. The sleep part isn't happening since the heat wave that we have been having is making it hard to sleep in our bedroom. (so much for being september, thank you So Cal) I have not been comfortable in any clothing that I own besides the fact that I'm getting too big for a lot of my stuff. I was looking forward to fall clothes shopping, but it looks like that won't be happening anytime soon. Baby boy really NEEDS a name. I want to be able to call him by his name than calling him baby boy every week. I also want to start getting his section of our room set up. My husband and I just cannot agree on a name, we actually stopped talking about it because neither one or us will back down, but we are getting down to crunch time and I just want this settled. I love the fact that I can feel him moving around a lot more, but not when it wakes me up from a much needed nap.

Here's to another week down xo
